The Tool Supplier sells powered hand tools for building and DIY. They're based in Plymouth and started trading in March 2008 with this E-commerce web site.

Requirements
The Tool Supplier are currently a wholly Internet-based retailer. The requirement was for a web site that could be used to sell the full range of power tools offered by the company. It was envisaged that over 400 products would be offered, with 50+ available from day 1. The site owner wanted the ability to load and update products himself.
The solution
We built the site using the Zen Cart E-commerce system. Zen Cart was developed from the well-known OScommerce Open Source software and has an easier to use administration interface. We developed a custom template that could be overlaid onto the standard Zen Cart system. We then configured and populated the product database, added the photos and created the descriptive pages.
